Has your partner been giving you the runaround about late evenings and nights at work? Maybe you have suspicions that these stories and excuses are not entirely true. There are times when things just don't seem to add up to the right numbers, such as having to work overtime and then you receive a call from one of his colleagues who says there is no overtime. One way to find out is to casually mention that this person called and didn't have any work without making it seem like an accusation just to see what reaction you will get.
Quite often one of the signs of infidelity is a feeling of being disconnected with your partner. He/She may not be paying you the same amount of attention or seems to be preoccupied all the time. When you ask if there is anything wrong, you get a noncommittal answer that doesn't really make you feel comfortable. It is possible that your partner may just be going through a rough time at work, but if he/she always talked over problems with you, then you have to try to delve further to get to the root of the problem.
It is important that you take an active role and do some investigating on your own. This means being more diligent in looking over the charges on the credit card statements to make sure there are no charges there for purchases that you don't know anything about. It also means paying attention to the incoming calls on your phone to determine if there are any unfamiliar numbers that seem to be calling your home a lot. For your own well-being it is important that you don't suffer in silence but make an attempt to bring whatever is going on out into the open.
Pay attention to his/her computer habits because it is possible that your partner is chatting online and doesn't want you to know anything about it. If you don't know how to check, ask a computer expert to show you how to check what sites your partner has been visiting online.
However, you will only make the situation worse if you make accusations without the evidence to prove that your partner is having an affair. It could damage your relationship to the point that you will break up because your partner will feel that you don't trust him/her. Make sure you have the evidence before you force a confrontation.
